Takoma brings Virtual Reality to school
Recently, Takoma presented their Virtual Reality application dedicated to English language learning to two primary school classes at the Year 6 level (5th grade in the USA).
The experience showcased the potential of VR technology to improve learner concentration and engagement, placing users in an immersive simulation of a London marketplace environment. The unparalleled level of immersion provided by VR notably increases listening skills, comprehension, and student interaction with the environment. Another benefit is that VR removes the fear factor, helping students rediscover the joy of learning.
Virtual Reality has once again proven itself to be an effective pedagogical tool for both adult training environments and the educational system.
